December 7, 2019 - January 18, 2020
Classroom and online training available
Build financial stability for families by helping them prepare and file their taxes at one of our free tax sites. Volunteers receive training to meet one-on-one with families and file their return using tax software.
Whether you are new to the program or an experienced volunteer, we'd love for you to join us at an upcoming volunteer training session.
Part A: Recommended for New Volunteers (select one)
Overview of tax code, new tax law updates, special topics, navigating IRS training publications 4012 & pub 17, IRS Link & Learn Certification overview, etc.
Part B: Recommended for New and Returning Volunteers (select one)
Break out sessions including: open forum tax law Q&A for all volunteers, refresher course for returning or experienced volunteers, Get certified on-site.
We recommend new volunteers attend one Part A session and one Part B session, and returning or experienced volunteers complete one Part B session. You may also complete all training and certification online. Learn more at UWGC.org/Tax-Volunteer.
Not ready to commit to training? Attend a virtual or in-person Information Session November 9 - December 4.
We look forward to working with you!
